The cozy small town of Gjøvik is only 2 hours north of Oslo and is perfect for a mini SPA-holiday.
Quality Hotel Strand is located in the center of Gjøvik. The hotel has a great SPA facility and its own gym. If you are hungry, it is a short distance to a good dining experience in the hotel's own restaurant.
Do you want to go for a short walk and at the same time get to know the city? Then the marked tour "Byrunden" is perfect. It starts at Gjøvik Station, takes approx. 1 hour and leads past several of the city's sights, such as historic Gjøvik farm, Gjøvik Olympic Mountain Hall and Skibladnerbrygga. The Skibladner is the world's oldest paddle steamer in scheduled traffic and has its home port at Gjøvik.
In the pedestrianized street you will find the small niche shops that you will not find anywhere else. At the CC Gjøvik shopping centre, you also have a large selection of 80 shops and eateries.
